Foreign ministers of Baltic states, Iceland to visit Georgia

Foreign ministers of the Baltic states and Iceland will visit Georgia on Wednesday to address current developments in the country, including the bill on transparency of foreign influence, the Latvian foreign office said on Tuesday, APA reports citing Agenda.ge.

The officials will have joint meetings with President Salome Zourabichvili, Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and parliamentary opposition.

They also intend to exchange views on Georgia’s reform process in relation to the progress of its integration into the European Union, stemming from Georgia’s commitments as an EU candidate country, as well as strengthening of the country’s resilience to threats posed by Russia.

Meetings are also to be held with other members of the Georgian Government and civil society organisations.
