On September 25, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, held a meeting with the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus – First Deputy Defense Minister, Major General Pavel Muraveiko, who was visiting Azerbaijan within the framework of the 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition ADEX held in Baku, the Ministry of Defence told APA.
According to the report, the importance of further development of bilateral cooperation in the military field between Azerbaijan and Belarus was noted, expansion of existing relations was discussed.
The parties also exchanged views on regional security and other issues of interest.
Later, Colonel-General Z. Hasanov met with Dmitry Pantus, Chairman of the State Military Industry Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
In the meeting, detailed views were exchanged on a number of interesting issues related to military-technical cooperation.
