Police have arrested at least six politicians representing the opposition Pakistan Movement for Justice (PTI) party, the latter’s press office said on Tuesday.
According to its information, six leaders and high-ranking officials of PTI, including chairman Gohar Ali Khan, were arrested in connection with the violations committed by the opposition during the recent demonstration in the capital Islamabad. In addition, seven more opposition representatives continue to hide from the police in the parliament building.
