Vice President Kamala Harris, the US presidential candidate from the Democratic Party, is still ahead of former president and Republican Party candidate Donald Trump in terms of support, but in one week the difference has decreased by 1 percentage point and made 2 percentage points. This is evidenced by the results of a poll conducted by The Economist magazine and the YouGov institute for public opinion research.
According to experts, 47 percent of the poll respondents said they are ready to support Harris in the presidential election in November, 45 percent prefer Trump, and 8 percent are either undecided or do not plan to vote in the election.
In the August 9-11 poll, Harris was ahead of Trump by 3 percentage points.
The latest poll was conducted from August 25 to 27, about 1,500 Americans aged 18 and over participated in it, and its margin of error was 3 percentage points.
