Azerbaijani FM meets with Lebanon's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov has met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon Abdallah Rashid Bou Habib within the framework of his visit to the State of Qatar, Azerbaijani MFA told APA.

During the meeting, opinions were exchanged on issues on the agenda of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Lebanon, including opportunities for cooperation in political, economic, humanitarian, cultural, etc. The importance of political consultations between Foreign Ministries was emphasized.

The importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Lebanon within the framework of international organizations, especially the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement, was underscored.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed his Lebanese counterpart about the recent processes taking place in the region, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, as well as the agreement that resulted in the liberation of 4 villages of Azerbaijan from occupation.

Opinions were exchanged also on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest at the meeting.
