FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier round 3: Kyrgyzstan in group A with Qatar, Iran, Uzbekistan and North Korea

AKIPRESS.COM - Opponents of Kyrgyzstan national football team in the third round of World Cup 2026 qualification in Asian zone have been determined.
The draw was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on June 27 at the AFC headquarters. 18 national teams were divided in three groups with six teams each. 
Kyrgyzstan got into group A with Iran, Qatar, Uzbekistan, UAE, and DPRK. 
Each team in the group will have 10 matches, including 5 at home and 5 away. The first matches are set for September 5. 
Following the third round of qualification, the teams ranking 1st and 2nd in their groups will qualify for the World Cup 2026. Teams ranked 3-4th in the groups will continue the fight for a trip to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the fourth round. The teams ranked 5-6 in the groups will leave the race.
