Deposit base of banks almost triples in 5 years in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - The overall volume of deposit base of clients of commercial banks demonstrated 27.3% growth at the end of 2023, having reached 431.3 billion soms, according to the annual report of the National Bank.
Deposits in national currency grew by 27.2%. Deposits in foreign currency grew by 27.3%.
The number of depositors has reached 7.4 million physical persons and legal entities by the end of 2023, which is by 34.1% more than in 2022.
For 5 years the deposit base gew almost 3 times from 151 billion soms in 2019.
