Steps toward Armenia-Cyprus defense cooperation development are discussed

During his working visit to Cypriot capital Nicosia, Armenian Ambassador to Cyprus Tigran Mkrtchyan—whose diplomatic residence is in Athens—on Thursday met with Cypriot Defense Minister Vasilis Palmas.
Ambassador Mkrtchyan expressed his belief that the upcoming visit of Minister Palmas to Armenia will give a new charge to the effective cooperation between the two countries in the military sphere, the embassy of Armenia in Greece informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The interlocutors discussed the steps implemented and to be implemented toward the development of cooperation between Armenia and Cyprus in the defense sector.
Also, the ambassador of Armenia presented to the minister of defense of Cyprus the latest developments in Armenia’s region, the security environment around the country, as well as the border delimitation and peace agreement processes between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
