Trade between Armenia and Russia regions increased 2.5 times, Armenian envoy says

Within two years, the trade between the individual regions of Armenia and Russia has increased by 2.5 times thanks to the agreements reached, but the potential for this growth has not yet been exhausted. This was announced by Armenian ambassador to Russia Vagharshak Harutyunyan during a meeting with members of the Armenian community in Belgorod city, reports TASS.
"Agreements have been signed with more than 70 regions of Russia. This has led to the fact that our ties with Russia’s regions have been strengthened at this [inter-regional] level. The trade has increased two to 2.5 times in the last two years; this is a serious indicator. And this is not the whole potential, it is not exhausted," said Harutyunyan, noting that, in particular, that Armenia plans to establish ties with Belgorod Region as well.
The Armenian ambassador of noted that his country and Russia have more than 200 federal-level agreements in various domains, and about 30 of them were reached in the last two years alone.
