OSCE Minsk Group US former co-chair: France provokes Azerbaijan by selling arms to Armenia

Armenia has the right to defend itself and buy weapons from France or other countries. But since we are close to signing a peace treaty, this move by France is a new provocative element in the relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Ambassador James Warlick, former US Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, stated this on the air of Strength Factor program of Armenian News-NEWS.am.
According to Warlick, France should have concluded an arms delivery deal with Armenia after the latter’s signing of the peace agreement with Azerbaijan.
Armenia has the right to defend itself, it will continue to have an army, it will not disband it, it will protect its borders from any external threat, but it is unfortunate that when we are approaching the signing of a peace agreement, such a step confuses and complicates the negotiations, said the US diplomat.
