Press Council urges to condemn France's desire to limit activities of Azerbaijani journalist

Press Council of Azerbaijan has issued a statement on Azerbaijani journalist Aygun Hasanova getting denied access to the Schengen zone, APA reports.

The statement says that not accessing an AZERTAC employee Aygun Hasanova to participate in the seminar held in Bonn, Germany, and the actions aimed at preventing her from entering the Schengen area are deeply regrettable.

"This incident, which took place due to the order from France, is an attempt to violate legal norms and limit freedom of speech and expression.

Press Council of Azerbaijan urges the world's leading journalistic circles and organizations responsible for protecting human rights and freedoms to strongly condemn France's desire to limit the activities of Azerbaijani journalist Aygun Hasanova.”
