The annual session of International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Council has kicked off in Geneva, Switzerland, APA-Economics reports citing the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan.
According to the information, the delegation of the ministry represents Azerbaijan at the meeting.
As a result of the discussions held within the session, Azerbaijan's hosting of the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTIC) to be held in 2025 was approved.
Note that Azerbaijan got the opportunity to host this event for the first time in the CIS region.
As a result of the discussions, the decision to host Azerbaijan was unanimously approved by the Council.
