Azerbaijan’s Audiovisual Council comments on spread of radio and TV waves of neighboring countries within country

“It is normal for neighboring countries' radio and even television channels to interfere with each other's terrestrial broadcasting space, because terrestrial radio-television broadcasting knows no physical-geographical boundaries,” Fazil Novruzov, Chief of Adminstration of Audiovisual Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan during his speech at round table with online media subjects on "Audiovisual media: Norms, realities and challenges", APA reports.

According to him, in accordance with the regulation on the adjustment of radio frequencies of the neighboring countries adopted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the radio signal of the neighboring country reaching up to 200 km deep into the country is considered acceptable.
