Armenia opens criminal case against 5 more persons detained during protests in Yerevan

A criminal case has been initiated against 5 people who were detained during today's protest rally in Yerevan, Armenia, Investigative Committee of Armenia said, APA reports.

According to the official statement, those persons, which includes social activist Vaaghn Chakhalyan, were brought under investigation for charges of gross violation of public order during mass protests, disobeying the legal request of the police, resisting a law enforcement officer and hooliganism.

Note that “Tavush for Motherland” movement, which is led by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, has started mass rally as a sign of protest against the process of delimitation and demarcation of borders with Azerbaijan.
