"The European Union supports Azerbaijan since first years of its independence," said Head of EU Delegation in Azerbaijan Peter Michalko at an event dedicated to May 9 - Europe Day, APA reports.
Michalko has noted that as a host country of COP29, Azerbaijan plays an important role in fight against climate change at a global level:
"It is a clear example of respect of international community to Azerbaijan and its activity in the field of green energy."
