She noted that the West constantly targets and intimidates the Georgian authorities for the brute force allegedly used against protesters, but when it comes to Armenia, the West is silent, Maria Zakharova, the representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said at a briefing, APA reports.
“Here come the double standards. When it comes to mass protests in Armenia, the West pretends that nothing is happening. And even if they comment on it, they say that protests do not reflect Armenia’s will and are coordinated from the outside,” she said.
She added that the US and European media pay attention to the protests in Georgia and portray the participants of the protests as heroes.
