The State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan signed a purchase and sale agreement with the Russian company Aeroekspress Media LLC.
Yeniavaz.com reports that the total cost of the contract concluded on the basis of the single source procurement method is 484,501 manat 37 kopecks.
Under the terms of the agreement, Aeroekspress Media LLC will place advertising information on Aeroekspress trains in Russia, as well as on the platforms of stations located at airports, and on hanging boards next to poles based on the Agency’s order.
For information, one of the main owners of Aeroekspress Media LLC is Russian billionaire Iskander Makhmudov, Uzbek origin. Iskander Makhmudov, ranked 312th on Forbes' list of the World's Richest People, is reported to be worth $8.3 billion.
It should be noted that Iskander Makhmudov is called the “copper king” of Russia. Almost half of Russia's copper production is controlled by companies associated with Iskander Makhmudov.
It should also be noted that Iskander Makhmudov is among the Russian businessmen who are subject to US sanctions. Aeroekspress Media LLC, with which the State Tourism Agency entered into an agreement, is one of the companies subject to Ukrainian sanctions.
