In January-March of this year, about 2,2 million tons of oil were produced in Azerbaijan, which is equal to the indicator of the corresponding period of last year, APA-Economics reports citing the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.
Recall that about 6,5 million tons of oil were produced in Azerbaijan last year, which is 4.84% more in annual comparison.
Note that oil in Azerbaijan is produced at the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery, whose foundation was laid in 1953. The plant fully meets the Republic of Azerbaijan's demand for oil products. Currently, reconstruction and modernization works are being carried out at the Oil Refinery.
