439 billion tons of oil has been produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shahdeniz fields since commissioning until May 1, 2024, the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan told APA.
During the reporting period, 220.7 billion cubic meters of gas was produced from ACG, and 218.3 billion cubic meters from Shahdeniz. During this period, approximately 155.2 billion cubic meters of gas which was produced from the ShahDeniz field, were transported for export.
According to operative data for January-April 2024, 16.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced in the republic within 4 months. 4.4 billion cubic meters of gas was produced within ACG, 9.2 billion cubic meters within ShahDeniz, 0.5 billion cubic meters within Absheron, and 2.6 billion cubic meters within SOCAR. Gas was produced with an increase of 0.5 billion cubic meters compared to the corresponding period last year.
“Gas sales abroad amounted to 8.5 billion cubic meters during 4 month, which is 2.7 % more than compared to the corresponding period of last year. 4.2 billion cubic meters of gas were sold to Europe, 3.2 billion cubic meters to Türkiye, and 1.1 billion cubic meters of gas were sold to Georgia. During this period, 1.8 billion cubic meters of gas was transported to Türkiye with TANAP," the information states.
