Ali Asadov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with President of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) Mohammad Jalood, the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan told APA.
Highlighting the consistent measures implemented for the development of sports in Azerbaijan, PM Ali Asadov mentioned the state care towards the athletes, as well as establishment of modern sports infrastructure in the country. The PM noted that all these measures had played an exceptional role in successful results achieved by Azerbaijani athletes in prestigious international tournaments.
The Azerbaijani Prime Minister underlined that the government pays great attention to the development and popularization of the weightlifting, along with other sports in Azerbaijan.
The meeting also featured discussions around enhancing the cooperation between the Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation and the International Weightlifting Federation.
