In southern Brazil, devastating floods have claimed the lives of at least 136 people, according to reports from the civil defense service of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, APA reports citing BBN.
The region, situated on the border with Argentina and Uruguay, has been severely impacted, with almost 340,000 individuals compelled to evacuate their residences due to the rising waters.
As of now, there are 141 people still unaccounted for.
