On May 11, Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, received Salim bin Mohammed AlMalik, Director-General of the ICESCO, in Shusha, APA reports.
At the meeting, the importance of the 7th Kharibulbul International Music Festival held in Shusha was noted.
During the conversation, the previous meetings were recalled with satisfaction.
Director-General of ICESCO stated that during his current visit to Shusha, he witnessed great development processes and changes, he emphasized the importance of building new mosques in the place of mosques completely destroyed by Armenians during the occupation in terms of protecting the values of the Islamic religion.
During the meeting, it was noted with satisfaction that great repair and reconstruction works are underway in the territories liberated from occupation.
It was noted that a successful cooperation is implemented between ICESCO and Azerbaijan, confidence was expressed that the relations will continue to expand from now on as well, and views were exchanged on perspectives.
ICESCO Director-General presented a souvenir to President Ilham Aliyev.
