Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who is on an official visit to Kyrgyzstan, has met with Lieutenant General Baktybek Bekbolotov, the Minister of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense told APA.
At the official welcoming ceremony held at the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Defense Ministers of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and Lieutenant General Baktybek Bekbolotov passed by the honor guard. Accompanied by a military orchestra, the national anthems of both countries were played.
During the meeting, the development prospects for cooperation in military, military-technical, and military education fields were discussed and an extensive exchange of views took place on regional security and several issues of mutual interest.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a "Bilateral military cooperation plan for 2025 between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic" was signed.
