AKIPRESS.COM - Government agencies should implement plans on supply of public sector organizations with sufficient amount of coal by October 1, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev said during a meeting on preparation of the national economy and population for coming cold season.
All necessary measures should be adopted to provide population with coal, he said.
The Antimonopoly Service should tighten control over coal prices, he stressed.
Some 17.8 billion kWh of electricity are projected to be consumed in the country in 2024. Some 9.1 billion kWh of electricity were consumed in the first half of the year.
