Basements and internal roads of 13 multi-story buildings flooded due to water pipe burst
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Basements and internal roads of 13 multi-story buildings were flooded as a result of a water pipe burst in Yunusabad district of Tashkent. This information comes from the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan.
The incident occurred on 3 July at 02:23 AM on a 1200 mm diameter water pipe located between the intersection of Yukori Karakamysh and Moykurgan streets in the Yunusabad district.
An operational working group was formed to eliminate the consequences of the incident, and forces from enterprises and organizations under the Ministry of Emergency Situations were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Currently, specialists from Uzsuvta’minot are reducing water pressure in the pipes and conducting repair works.
As a result of the incident, water flooded the basements and internal roads of 13 multi-story buildings, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
There were no casualties reported due to the incident.
The situation is under full control, and the consequences of the accident are expected to be completely rectified within the next few hours.
