Ministry of Energy: No disruptions in electricity supply to boiler house observed in Yunusabad district
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan has refuted information about disruptions in electricity supply to Boiler House No. 4 in the Yunusabad district, where a water pipe burst occurred.
Earlier, the press secretary of "Toshkent shahar suv ta’minoti" Ravshan Yokubjonov stated that the main cause of the water pipe burst was a temporary power outage to the nearby boiler house, which led to increased pressure in the pipes.
The Ministry of Energy clarified that this statement does not correspond to reality.
The ministry further added that there were no disruptions in electricity supply to Boiler House No. 4 on 2-3 July, and the operation of the boiler house was unrelated to the water pipe burst.
According to the Ministry, Boiler House No. 4 operated steadily during the night of 2-3 July 2024.
Ministry of Energy also noted that currently, the production capacity of the boiler house is reduced due to insufficient water supply.
