President of Uzbekistan departs for Kazakhstan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 3 July, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Astana, Kazakhstan. This was announced by the press service of the Uzbekistan’s head of state.
Upon the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will participate in the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and a meeting in the format of "SCO plus."
Participants of the events will discuss current issues of further cooperation within the organization and improvements to the SCO’s activities. Delegations will also address international and regional issues of concern.
Additionally, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev plans to hold bilateral meetings with leaders of foreign delegations during his visit.
