Mirzoyan: Armenia, Georgia will continue their border delimitation in friendly atmosphere

Armenia and Georgia intend to continue and complete their border delimitation and demarcation process in a friendly atmosphere. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, at a joint press conference in Tbilisi with his Georgian counterpart Wednesday.
The Armenian FM stated that this is his first visit to the neighboring Georgia after establishing a strategic partnership.
According to Mirzoyan, the content of the relations between the two countries has started to be filled with new elements which are rapidly developing. There is a rich agenda between Yerevan and Tbilisi, the two parties cooperate effectively in all domains, and there is progress in trade.
"The [two] countries have announced at a high level about the acceptance of each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity. A clear understanding has been formed to continue and complete the process of border delimitation and demarcation in a friendly atmosphere," Mirzoyan said, noting the support that the two parties provide to each other in the context of geopolitical developments.
Armenia and Georgia have been continuing their border delimitation process for dozens of years, but not at all on the basis of the Almaty Declaration of 1991, as is in Armenia’s case with Azerbaijan.
