Prospects for attracting uzbek workers to Spain’s construction sector discussed in Madrid
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Ambassador of Uzbekistan Farrukh Tursunov held negotiations with Pedro Fernandez Alen, President of the National Union of Builders of Spain, Dunyo news agency reported.
During the negotiations, they discussed the content and significance of extensive reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at organized and safe external labor migration in recent years. Special attention was given to the regulation of processes related to external labor migration and ensuring the protection of rights and interests of citizens traveling abroad for temporary work.
It was emphasized that Uzbekistan has created all conditions for training and improving the qualifications of citizens in various fields in accordance with the requirements of their foreign employers. Concrete results have already been achieved in this direction with leading European countries, and processes for sending citizens to work abroad have begun.
Pedro Fernandez Alen highly appreciated the work done in the field of external labor migration in Uzbekistan. He noted that creating opportunities for safe and organized labor activity by citizens of Uzbekistan abroad is a positive indicator for developing countries.
Expressing gratitude for the information and presentation provided, Fernandez Alen shared extensive plans in Spain’s construction sector. Specifically, there are plans to build 200,000 units of state-owned real estate and attract 700,000 workers for their construction.
Following the negotiations, agreements were reached on cooperation in this direction.
