Mongolian detained in Bishkek for drug trafficking

AKIPRESS.COM - Interpol officers from Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia detained a Mongolian citizen in Bishkek, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on July 1.
G.U., born in 1983, had been wanted since 2022 for the drug trafficking.
According to Interpol, the detainee, along with his family members, established a transit route for "crystal methamphetamine" from Istanbul to Ulaanbaatar in 2022-2023. The drug traffickers used the services of an international express service.
Mongolian narcotics officers determined that the suspect was involved in over 100 cases of drug trafficking.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs believes that he came to Kyrgyzstan to establish a drug distribution channel.
The detainee was handed over to the Pervomaiskiy district police department. The issue of his extradition will be decided.
