Kazakhstan sends humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan after deadly mudflows in Nookat district

AKIPRESS.COM - Humanitarian aid arrived in Osh from Kazakhstan on a special flight on June 30 at 22:30, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
The aid was received by Deputy Emergency Minister Akylbek Mazaripov, Deputy Governor of Osh Region Iliyaz Tashbaev, Kazakh Consul in Osh Mukhtar Karibay, and Director of the Kazakhstan Emergency Situations Department for Zhambyl Region Arman Tokanov.
The humanitarian aid includes household items and food.
As previously reported by Turmush, there is a popular tourist area in Nookat called Abshyr-Ata. Mudflow destroyed the road there.
As a result of the mudflows in Nookat on June 28, 9 people have been confirmed dead. An emergency situation has been declared in the district. About 1,400 people have been evacuated.
