Eight people die in Nookat district due to mudflows

AKIPRESS.COM - Eight people died due to mudflows in Nookat district of Osh region, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
The body of another woman was found in Abshyr-Ata village (her identity is being investigated).
The deaths of an unknown woman and six children were earlier reported.
Before this, three minors were carried away by mudflows in Abshyr-Ata village on June 28, locals noted. The children's bodies were found after the mudflows stopped.
A state of emergency was introduced in Nookat district of Osh region.
Representatives of the governor's office in Osh region, the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and rescuers were brought to the scene.
