Mirzoyan exchanged thoughts on international and regional security issues at the meeting with Borrell

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Vice-President of the European Commission, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borel. This is reported by the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting took place within the framework of the Dubrovnik forum.Issues related to the agenda of the RA-EU partnership, steps aimed at significantly deepening the relations, and positive perspectives were discussed. In this context, the sides stressed the importance of strengthening Armenia's stability and launching a dialogue on visa liberalization through the effective use of the existing mechanisms.The interlocutors exchanged views on the issues of international and regional security. The negative consequences of the practice of solving problems by force and the necessity of respecting the fundamental principles of international law were emphasized.In the context of ensuring stable peace in the South Caucasus, Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the necessity of signing a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the importance of valuable approaches of the partners interested in real stability in the region.
