Armenia FM presents current security situation in South Caucasus

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan participated in a roundtable discussion at the International Centre for Defence and Security (ICDS) in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.
The event brought together representatives of expert circles, as well as heads of accredited diplomatic missions in Estonia.
In his introductory remarks, the FM presented the foreign policy priorities of Armenia in the changing geopolitical conditions, the existing challenges, and the steps being taken to address these challenges.
Mirzoyan thoroughly presented the current security situation in the South Caucasus, and the recent developments and trends. Also, he emphasized the vision of Armenia regarding the establishment of stability and long-term peace in the region, and the efforts and ongoing challenges towards its implementation.
Reference was made also to the process of normalization of Armenia’s relations with Turkey, the agreements reached through dialogue, and the importance of their implementation.
And touching upon the process of normalizing of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, FM Mirzoyan stressed the importance of signing a peace treaty and continuing the border delimitation process based on the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1991.
