Armenia Security Council head: Border delimitation in Tavush Province brings more stability

Armenia is ready to sign the peace treaty as soon as possible, and recently we proposed to sign it within a month. The Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, told this to reporters Wednesday during the forum entitled "Building the Future."
When asked whether Tavush Province of Armenian is now safer after the installation of border markers there, Grigoryan replied: "The border delimitation process in Tavush, in our assessment, brings more stability. But for complete stability, naturally, a peace treaty is needed. There must be peace so that they are absolutely convinced that there will be no escalation [of tension]; this is the main guarantee."
Grigoryan informed that border delimitation was done in four sectors in Tavush, and it could be carried out in some other places as well.
"That is, it is partial. It is not possible to delimit the entire border at once. The basis is the 1976 map," he said.
And when asked whether the next border delimitation will be conducted in the Jermuk city area of Armenia, the secretary of the Security Council of Armenia responded that they still do not have an agreement in that regard.
