Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has summoned the Armenian ambassador to the country, reported the Russian-language Telegram account of the Israeli MFA.
In the statement, it was noted that the diplomatic representative of Armenia was called to "express a strong reprimand."
The reason is Armenia's decision to recognize the State of Palestine.
As reported earlier, the MFA of Armenia announced Friday that the Armenian authorities have decided to recognize the State of Palestine. According to the MFA, in this way, Armenia has reaffirmed its “commitment to international law and the principles of equality, sovereignty, and peaceful coexistence of peoples.”
