EU agrees on 14th package of sanctions against Russia

The permanent representatives of the European Union (EU) member countries have agreed on the new—14th—package of sanctions on Russia at their meeting held Thursday, informed Belgium, which holds the Presidency of the Council of the EU.
“EU Ambassadors just agreed on a powerful and substantial 14th package of sanctions in reaction to the Russian aggression against Ukraine,” the Belgium Presidency of the EU Council announced on X—formerly Twitter. “This package provides new targeted measures and maximizes the impact of existing sanctions by closing loopholes."
