Procurement Category Specialist

Job Description:

• Ensure proper implementation of all policies, strategies, procedures and processes related to his/her dedicated category;
• Categorize Goods and Services under his/her dedicated category to ensure the optimum segmentation of the supply chain and the classification of suppliers according to the criticality of their portfolio of goods and services;
• Develop baseline/current spend and category analysis to determine the appropriate category strategy related to his/her dedicated category;
• Conduct market assessment of suppliers and their supply chain;
• Analyze and interpret market conditions, trends and data to identify market opportunities related to his/her dedicated category;
• Identify opportunities to enhance business performance through improved analytics and reporting;
• Analyzing data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends;
• Support with inputs for his/her dedicated category for devising long-term procurement strategies for product categories;
• Support with inputs for his/her dedicated category for development and implementation of procurement plan;
• Conduct category sourcing activities in accordance with the respective process/procedures;
• Support with inputs for his/her dedicated category for development and implementation of contractor performance management framework;
• Support with full procurement to pay cycle under his/her dedicated category including but not limited to conducting RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, creation of PO/SO in system, expediting of goods/services delivery and performance management of suppliers;
• Support Procurement Category Manager with delivery of functional annual plan as required.

Salary range: 2500 – 2800 AZN net
