BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 30. Nar continues
to support individuals with disabilities and, in partnership with
the "Support for the Deaf" Public Association, organized a meeting
with students from Special Boarding School No. 3 as part of
International Sign Language Week. During the event, the electronic
sign language dictionary, jestdili.az, which was developed with
Nar’s support and aims to promote inclusivity, was introduced.
The event provided students with speech and hearing impairments,
as well as their classmates, with detailed information on the
general functionality of the website and its user-friendly search
system, designed to facilitate communication using the jestdili.az
dictionary. The session, held in a discussion format, also included
a Q&A segment where students' queries were addressed.
As the country’s first electronic sign language dictionary,
jestdili.az enables individuals with speech and hearing impairments
and their families to learn Azerbaijani sign language online,
anytime, anywhere, free of charge. Constantly evolving, the
electronic dictionary currently offers video explanations for over
4,000 words and more than 500 phrases commonly used in daily life.
It is noteworthy that in 2023, Nar’s jestdili.az project was
awarded first place in the "Best Corporate Responsibility" category
by the International Public Relations Association (IPRA).

Nar currently provides quality communication services to
2.2 million subscribers and has been the country's leading mobile
operator in terms of net promoter score for the past 5 years. The
mobile operator has a customer-centric strategy and offers
excellent service at an affordable price.
