Kim Jong Un executes around 30 officials over recent devastating floods in North Korea

The North Korean authorities have executed dozens of high-ranking officials due to the devastating floods in late July, which took thousands of lives in the north of the country, according to informed sources, reports TV Chosun television of South Korea.
According to them, 20 to 30 leaders of the affected region were shot.
The North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, had announced at the emergency meeting that was held in late July that he will severely punish those who "did not fulfill their duty" and caused so many casualties.
The state media of North Korea distributed photos of the head of state monitoring rescue operations after the disaster, but did not report any casualties.
