Russia MFA spox to Armenia PM on CSTO: Play on words may not lead to anything good

In Yerevan, they recently announced that the CSTO had left the territory of Armenia, then they started to announce that they were frozen within that organization. I would like to know who is where. Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), stated this at Wednesday’s press briefing—and commenting on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement that Armenia has frozen its participation in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
"Behind every word, every expression, there should be not only meaning, which is extremely important, but also, if it was uttered by an official person, accountability—not only for what was said, but also for the consequences. Yerevan de jure remains a full CSTO member and maintains the corresponding rights and obligations. The leadership of Armenia supports the line of leaving such cooperation, which, in our opinion, contradicts the interests of the Armenian people. And we expect that in the interests of the future security of Armenia itself and the entire region, the partnership with Armenia will be fully restored within the CSTO framework. Play on words may not lead to anything good, especially if we take into account that the region has faced quite a few trials," Zakharova added.
