Yesterday the 10 th Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum has kicked off in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation, Azernews reports.
The event, organized by the Eurasian Regional Center of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF-ERC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, the "Selet" Youth Foundation of Tatarstan, and the Academy of Youth Diplomacy, commenced with a grand opening ceremony. Noteworthy dignitaries including Rinat Sadykov, the Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, Elchin Asgarov, Chair of the Board of ICYF-ERC, Taha Ayhan, President of ICYF, and Timur Suleymanov, Assistant to the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, graced the occasion with their presence and delivered speeches encouraging the participants and highlighting the significance of such collaborative efforts.
For a decade now, the Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum has remained committed to fostering entrepreneurial spirit among youth within the OIC region. Its primary objective is to provide support to budding startup projects and to invigorate the endeavors of young entrepreneurs. Elchin Asgarov, expressing pride in the longstanding partnership between ICYF-ERC and the Republic of Tatarstan, emphasized the forum's pivotal role in nurturing innovative startup ventures and ensuring their sustainability.
An important milestone in the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between ICYF-ERC and the Ministry of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan. This memorandum outlines the mutual commitments for the organization of future editions of the Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum and other collaborative projects aimed at youth development within the OIC Eurasian region.
During the forum, 150 startup projects from 45 OIC countries were presented to an expert commission. Of these, 30 projects, distinguished by their creativity, innovation, and potential impact, were selected to receive support in networking and mentorship to enhance their sustainability.
The 10th Kazan OIC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum, held in conjunction with the 15th International Economic Forum "Russia-Islamic World: Kazan Forum," will continue until May 18th, promising fruitful discussions and exchanges aimed at fostering youth entrepreneurship and collaboration within the OIC region and beyond.
