UN establishes special working group to support Azerbaijan in COP29

The UN family was mobilized by the Secretary General and a special working group was created to provide necessary support to Azerbaijan in the COP29 process, Selwin Charles Hart, Special Adviser to the Secretary-General on Climate Action and Just Transition, said in a meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.

Selwin Charles Hart, who said that the delegation of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) will visit Azerbaijan recently, emphasized that it is a successful example of Azerbaijan's effective management of the income obtained from natural resources and its use for socio-economic development. He noted that Azerbaijan, at the same time, is setting a very important example by spending its income in this field on the green energy agenda. The guest once again expressed the support of the UN to Azerbaijan in this process.
